What netik.dev keeps in your browser, and why.

## In short

netik.dev uses no advertising or tracking cookies. It counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It keeps a few settings in your browser so the site works the way you set it, and nothing in them identifies you. That is why there is no cookie banner.

## What the site keeps in your browser

-   **Your currency** (`netik.currency`, local storage): US dollars, euros or UAE dirhams, as you chose in the header. Kept until you clear it.
-   **Your phone country** (`netik.country`, session storage): the country the network says you are in, to preselect the phone code on our forms. Deleted when you close the tab.
-   **The chat** (`netik.chat` and `netik.chat.ui`, local storage; `netik.chat.open`, session storage): the conversation's ID, so the conversation carries on when you move to another page, and whether you closed or opened the chat box. Deleted when you start a new conversation, or when you clear it.
-   **Your accessibility settings** (`netik.a11y`, local storage): only if you change them in the accessibility menu.

## The client area

When you sign in to the client area, it sets one sign-in cookie. Without it you cannot stay signed in, so it needs no consent.

## How to remove them

Every browser can delete what a site keeps, in its privacy or site settings. The site works without them; it simply forgets your choices.
